daydreaming is fun

Joyce Tamayo is a copywriter. She spends most of her days capturing creative ideas, mingling with words, struggling with grammar rules, staring at the trees outside her office window, and daydreaming. She divides her time reading fiction books, taking random photos, watching movies that may or may not be interesting, and eating whatever is delicious. Sometimes if she's not too lazy, she crafts accessories, study photography techniques, familiarize herself with the sewing machine, and write something that she can only understand.

I’ve sold my Nikon D40 and Benro tripod and still in my hiatus mode though I’m not ending my photography love affair. I just thought that it would be better to experience the challenge of shooting in film. I may have done this in the past (film photography) for my photo journalism class at the university, but I never did appreciate the experience compared to today.

I’m not against digital photography and I respect a lot of digital photographers. I’ve learned a lot of photography stuff from using digital SLR camera but I guess (for now) the more suitable path for me if I really want to improve and be serious about this craft is to start with old school cameras and surprise myself with whatever thing that would be captured on film.
